Poke Invest is open: what you'll find on the portal

We promised we'd get in touch when we launched — and here we are. Poke Invest is now open to all collectors from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It was born from a simple frustration: we bought cards at markets with no guarantee, looked up prices across five browser tabs at once, and had barely any idea what our collection was worth — maybe "somewhere in a drawer". We wanted all of this in one place. Here's what awaits you on the portal.

Marketplace: buying and selling without commission

The heart of the portal is the Marketplace — a place where cards and sealed products are sold directly between collectors. We don't take any commission: the price you see is the price you pay. You can post a listing in a minute, add photos from your phone, and the system will automatically fill in the product image if you don't have one.

What sets the Marketplace apart from a flea market is trust. Every transaction can be confirmed by both parties and only then can it be rated — so the stars next to a name aren't decoration, but a real history of deals. With each listing, you also see how much similar items have actually sold for on our platform, not just what they're being offered for.

Auctions where sniping doesn't work

Anyone who's bid on classic auction sites knows the feeling: seconds before the end, someone outbids you and you don't have time to react. Our auctions have a simple rule — a bid in the last two minutes extends the auction by another two minutes. The winner is whoever is willing to pay the most, not whoever has the fastest internet. Plus, there's a "buy now" option, a reserve price for the seller, and notifications an hour before the end of auctions you're watching.

Digital wallet and money overview

Collecting is also about money — and that's impossible to add up in your head. Poke Invest has a built-in digital wallet: you log your accounts where you bought cards, proceeds from sales, shipping costs, and fees. The portal continuously shows you how much you have tied up in inventory, what your net profit is after paying everything, and how much you'd have if you sold everything at your prices. For the first time, you really know if your hobby pays off.

Portfolio: how much your collection is worth

Every card and box you add gets the current market value from Cardmarket and a graph showing how its price has changed since purchase. You organize your collection by purpose — what's for sale and what you're holding as an investment — and the portal calculates your profit, holding period, and overall value development for you.

You have a catalog of over 50,000 cards in English, German, and Japanese including the latest sets: each card with an image, rarity, and price that updates every day. You can add a card to your collection with one click, or photograph it and let the portal recognize it.

Forum, messages, and PokeTalk room

Community is what makes the portal more than just a database. The forum discusses sets, grading, storage, and counterfeits; good answers get thumbs up. Private messages with photos and videos help arrange deals — and when you just want to chat, there's the PokeTalk room: a public chat space where messages disappear after 48 hours, so it's a real conversation, not an archive.

Security first

You're trading valuable items, so we didn't skimp on account protection:

Two-factor authentication (2FA) via app — password alone isn't enough to log in.
Face ID, Touch ID, and security keys — logging in without a password that can't be stolen or intercepted.
Verified email and trustworthiness score — every account starts at zero and earns points only through real steps: verification, security, confirmed transactions, and positive ratings.
Reporting and moderation — report a suspicious listing, message, or profile with one click and we'll handle it.

What we're preparing

Escrow payment protection. Money will be held with us during the transaction and released to the seller only when the buyer confirms the goods arrived in good condition. No more fear of sending money upfront to a stranger.

Premium membership. A package of features for those serious about cards. One of them is Restock: instead of browsing e-shops one by one, you'll see in one place which Slovak and Czech stores have just stocked new items — boxes, ETBs, blisters — and what's still available. Those who've tried it don't want to search Google anymore.

News, new sets, tips, and behind-the-scenes content from the portal can be found on our Instagram @pokeinvest_eu. And since a launch deserves celebration, we're starting a contest for a sealed Pokémon product.

The rules are simple: whoever brings us the most new followers wins. Each new follower writes in the comments under the contest post who invited them ("invited by @name"). The contest runs until October 4, 2026, we'll announce the winner on Instagram and mail the prize anywhere in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
